The Annual Concert
The annual Music Heroes concert is becoming a local must-see live music event! Held in the autumn term each year, the concert is a celebration of a selection of our students from very beginner to those on their way to a career in music. Students also get to see the Music Heroes Band perform some of their favourite songs. We literally roll out the red carpet for our students with a professional photographer and videographer to capture the evening, goody bags for performers and of course, the “Student of the Year” award. We want our students to sample live music and performance from day 1; to be inspired by their tutors and other students.
In 2023, the concert will again be held at the beautiful Barnes Theatre in the grounds of Shrewsbury School. Last year we sold 200 tickets. This year promises to be another sell-out. Get the date in your diary: Friday 3rd November.

Instrument Showcase Concerts
Throughout the year we also hold more intimate, low key events, focusing on one instrument, allowing students to sample solo performance in a relaxed setting.
Live Performances in Schools by the Music Heroes Band: Gigs for Kids!
We were delighted to see the importance of access to live performance being prioritised in the new National Plan for Music Education (England and Wales).
The Music Heroes band are available for mini-gigs to allow children to experience a full live-music concert with a 5 piece band. You do not have to be an existing Music Heroes school to access this service.
We are available for nationwide concerts. 2023 will see the first ever Music Heroes Band tour of Powys, Wales.
